NEW YORK (WPIX) - The public will soon have the opportunity to get a feel of what it was like for victim's of the Sept. 11 tragedy and experience the gut wrenching ordeal they were forced to undergo.

A rare collection of 9/11 oral histories and a rotating exhibit of artifacts from Sept. 11 were unveiled Thursday and will be on display at a listening station at the 9/11 Memorial Preview Site in Manhattan.

On the recordings, people will be able to hear exchanges between survivors and first responders as two planes smashed into the twin towers, forever changing the landscape of the Manhattan skyline.

The personal accounts will also be paired with materials that support the stories - including an auto-racing jacket cherished by 9/11 victim Karen Junday and donated by her fiance. He, too, contributed an oral history.
