Dr. Richard Davis

Professional Background: Dr. Davis is a physician, successful serial entrepreneur and inventor - having authored over 350 patents and trademarks worldwide. In 2008, he co-founded Wellosophy® Corporation – a worldwide marketer of weight management products. In 2006 he founded EquinOx™ Pharmaceuticals; an ophthalmic biotechnology company now conducting Phase I/II clinical studies for NuVistin™, their lead compound for the treatment of the dry form of AgerelatedMacular Degeneration. In 1996, Dr. Davis co-founded OccuLogix® Corporation (OCCX: NASDAQ) and served asits Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer until its IPO in 2004. In 1994, he founded what became UroQuest® Medical Corporation, a marketer of urology, ENT, and airway management technologies, where he served as UroQuest’s first President and Chief Executive Officer until its 1996 IPO (UROQ:NASDAQ), where he remained its Chairman and Chief Science Officer until its sale to Chemfab Corporation (CMB, NYSE) in 1999.

In 1989, he founded Code Blue® Medical Corporation, a marketer of Emergency Medicine products, and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer until its sale to Ballard® Medical Products (BMP, NYSE) in 1992. From 1983 to 1993, Dr. Davis practiced Emergency Medicine in several of Tampa Bay’s leading hospitals and trauma centers.

Other Accomplishments: Diverting from his undergraduate work in Aerospace Engineering, Dr. Davis graduated magna cum laude with a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Old Dominion University in 1977. In 1981, he received his M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia with honors. From 1981-1986 he was a Flight Surgeon and Hyperbaric Officer while an Officer in the United States Navy and received two Chief of naval Operations Citations for his actions. Dr. Davis is a lifetime MENSAN and has been a National Director of Tampa’s Museum of Science & Industry since 1998. He continues to hold an active medical license in good standing in Florida.

Current Focus: Dr. Davis has recently formed PatriotStorm™ LLC which is spearheading the largest armada of integrated, class-action lawsuits in history.
