On March 2, 2010, one of three University of Florida Campus police shot a graduate student in the head with and M4, military style assault rifle.
Graduate student, Kofi Adu-Brempong was shot only 30 seconds after police broke into his apartment and entered. They were responding to a 911 call that reported Kofi as "delusional"...not homicidal.
Kofi had been seen the day before for mental health counseling due to concerns about complications with his student visa.
Adu Brempong is a black, African native and a survivor of a childhood battle with polio and requires a cain to ambulate

WTF is going on? these "Officers" should be brought up on charges! This is unacceptable! Why in God's name do UF Campus Police need SWAT Gear? They are Campus Police if there is a real threat, THE REAL POLICE NEED TO BE CALLED IN!!!

This individual was of no threat to anyone, not even himself. The real danger here is the UF Campus Police with their, "I wanna be a Cowboy" mentality.
We all need to stand up and say, "STOP THIS KIND OF CRAP! NO UF CAMPUS POLICE ARE TO BE ALLOWED TO USE DEADLY FORCE, PERIOD!"
CALL THE REAL POLICE IF THERE IS A REAL PROBLEM. DO NOT PUT OUR STUDENTS AT RISK FOR THESE SHOOT FIRST, LIE ABOUT IT LATER, ABUSERS OF THEIR POWER, SWAT TEAM WANNABE'S.
This is just another all to common example of ABSOLUTE POWER...CORRUPTING ABSOLUTLY!
THE OFFICERS INVOLVED NEED TO BE ARRESTED FOR THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIONS, FIRED AND THEN SUED IN CIVIL COURT FOR THEIR IRRESPONSIBLE ACTIONS.
This is not what the UF Campus Police are for and UF is not supposed to be a POLICE STATE!
