As a retired Marine, I can say that Marines are no different from anyone when it comes to being able to distinguish facts from propaganda. The professional climate in the military is completely aligned with the idea that departure from orthodoxy is disloyalty, but despite that, there are a growing number of members who, when confronted with the evidence, see through the groupthink and identify the tell-tell signs of the same kind of crap as the Tonkin Gulf resolution, the "Remember the Maine" theater, and all the other false-flag jobs used to manipulate public opinion and the patriotic feelings of servicemen from time immemorial.
