US director Jim Whitaker's 9/11 documentary, Project Rebirth, is nearing the final filming stages and will soon be ready for editing. Whitaker, who is the president of motion picture production for Imagine Entertainment, began working on Project Rebirth six months after the attacks on the World Trade Center. The documentary involves the healing process that took place in people after the 2001 attacks as well as Ground Zero. Whitaker has placed cameras at different vantage points above the site, which capture one frame every five minutes, Variety reported. "I've also followed 10 people who cover a broad spectrum of those affected in very different ways," said Whitaker, adding, "I've interviewed them once per year and filmed milestones in their lives. The film is about healing, and, by year seven, these people are in such different places in their lives that it was clear to me that it's time to finish."
