The Real Death Panels Palin is now out saying the Obama's "death panel" might decide to euthanize her Down syndrome baby. She said, "The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's "death panel." Such a system is downright evil." The real death panels are the insurance companies denying coverage to American that need help. There are patients now who are being called into conference rooms and being told that you or a loved one are only allowed 30 days in ICU because that's all that's allowed under your insurance policy - unless - you want to hand over your credit card and wipe out your savings or your retirement. A living will doesn't matter. The decision has been made. You or your loved one are then the "dead man walking." If that's not a death panel - what is?
