No Terror Attacks Since When?
No Attacks Since When?
In her column for the Wall Street Journal, the insufferably pompous Charles Emerson Winchester of the D.C. punditocracy, Peggy Noonan contributed to a massive hoax which I've nicknamed the 'No Attacks' Mythology:
This is an argument that's been around for a while but is newly re-emerging as the final argument for Mr. Bush: the one big thing he had to do after 9/11, the single thing he absolutely had to do, was keep it from happening again. And so far he has.
Now, of course she's right. "It" hasn't happened again. Fact: no additional hijacked airplanes have crashed into the World Trade Center towers since September 11. Why? Because those buildings were already attacked and destroyed, killing thousands of Americans after President Bush and his staff repeatedly ignored warnings from a variety of counter-terrorism and national security experts.
Noonan continued:
We have not been attacked since 9/11. Someone -- someones -- did something right.
Someones?
This is all part of a huge lie, and the lie is rapidly becoming reality thanks to various Bush apologists and dead-enders.
Perhaps it's been reignited in conjunction with the Bush "legacy project" -- an effort organized by Karl Rove to somehow fabricate a positive legacy for this awful president. If there remains any justice in this nation, let history show that the only thing this administration was actually good at was fabricating its own version of reality. They've failed at everything else and then made up stuff to obfuscate those failures. So here. I'll be magnanimous and make Rove's gig really easy by offering a suggestion: the "legacy project" is the Bush legacy. In other words, it's very likely that President Bush will be remembered for things like, you know, the "legacy project."
Nevertheless, yes, Ms. Noonan, we have been attacked on American soil since September 11 despite the Bush administration's invasions, its torturing, its illegal wiretapping and its crimes against the Constitution.
The anthrax attacks and the DC Snipers to name two. But since we don't yet know the identity of the anthrax attacker(s) -- they haven't, after all, been captured and brought to justice by the mighty Bush administration -- let's focus exclusively on terrorists John Allen Muhammed and Lee Boyd Malvo. More Americans were, in fact, killed by the DC Snipers (16 killed) than were killed in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing (6 killed). Additionally, there were nearly as many people killed by the DC Snipers as were killed in the al-Qaeda bombing of the USS Cole (17 killed).
Are the DC Sniper shootings somehow less dazzling and, therefore, do they not count as actual terrorist attacks on American soil? If that's the case then there were, in fact, zero attacks during the Clinton administration. Wow, President Clinton was really excellent at keeping us safe. So much for Democrats being weak on national security, eh?
Elsewhere, during the Bush years, there have been literally tens of thousands of terrorist attacks involving American casualties and deaths. In the 'No Attacks' Mythology chapter of my book, I debunked similar Noonanish claims, including one by Lynne Cheney who appeared on The Daily Show in October, 2007 and similarly suggested that there weren't any attacks since September 11.
You know I think when the history books are written, we will look back on this period of time, and we will say on 9/11 we really thought within six months we would be attacked again. Even six weeks. It's been more than six years and that is not an accident.
When Jon Stewart challenged Mrs. Cheney by mentioning the bombings in Madrid and London, Cheney replied by suggesting that those attacks weren't against "American interests." Okay, then, let's ignore the fact that Spain and Great Britain are allies of the United States and talk about actual American interests. Specifically, Iraq and Afghanistan. In my book, I wrote:
A non-profit think tank called the Memorial Institute for Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) has been maintaining an online Terrorism Knowledge Base since the middle 1990s. In it, they report that between September 11, 2001 and March 2008, there have been 9,675 terrorist attacks in Iraq, accumulating 46,271 injuries and 26,161 deaths. In Afghanistan--that other American interest--there have been 1,069 terrorist attacks in which 2,323 people were injured and 1,809 people were killed.
No attacks, Ms. Noonan? I only wish that were true.

After years of denial from government, military, and environmental agencies, the reality of the controversial issue regarding the covert programs known as Chemtrails has been acknowledged.
On October 2, 2001 Congressman Dennis Kucinich, Ohio introduced H. R. 2977 during the 1st Session of the 107th Congress of the United States. The "Space Preservation Act of 2001" seeks to "preserve the cooperative, peaceful uses of space for the benfit of all humankind by permanently prohibiting the basing of weapons in space by the United States, and to require the President to take action and implement a world treaty banning space-based weapons."
In the bill Chemtrails are listed as an "exotic weapons system". Ironically in Section 7 - Definitions. The complete text of the bill may be found at Clifford Carnicom's website, "Chemtrail Crimes and Coverup Documented".
The bill also addresses such things as particle beams, electromagnetic radiation, plasma, or extremely low frequency (ELF) or ultra low frequency (ULF) energy radiation, and mind-control as weapons. All of these areas have been researched and pondered by those investigating chemtrails and working to gain accountability for those programs.
They can't have it both ways. Water vapor is not a weapon.
This is a call to all those of conscience. This is a time when action is needed. It is time. The lies have gone on long enough. We can tell the Air Force and the Navy and the other agencies involved in this criminal activity, "No, You may NOT own the Weather ...Period!" We may not have another chance.

Rep Kucinich Rewrites HR 2977 - 'Chemtrails' Disappear

The "Space Preservation Act of 2001" originally introduced in the House by Rep. Dennis Kucinich as HR 2977 has been re-written.
The new, revised bill, HR 3616, "Space Preservation Act of 2002" was introduced January 23, 2002.
Re-writing bills is a common enough practice as a bill goes through the legislative process. However, the differences between HR 2977 and HR 3616 are more than just a few tweaks here or there.
By its conspicuous appearance in 2977, the term 'chemtrails' received a form of credibiity within the official government process never seen before...producing the hope that one courageous Representative had finally had the fortitude to take the issue of chemtrails to a level of Congressional scrutiny long overdue.
Even though chemtrails are sprayed/deployed in the 2-6 mile high range, and not the 60 mile altitude stated in 2977, the simple fact of their inclusion in Kucinich's 2977 list of weapons systems was deemed a major breakthrough by tens of thousands of citizens and researchers across the country who have been monitoring and investigating the spraying going on in the skies of America for the past three years.
In Rep. Kucinich's revised new (some woud say 'emasculated') Bill, HR 3616, there is no longer any mentio whatever of:
* chemtrails,
* particle beams
* electromagnetic radiation
* plasmas
* extremely low frequency (ELF) or ultra low frequency (ULF) energy radiation
* or mind-control technologies
as weapons systems covered in the measure.
In fact, 'Exotic Weapons' - as boldly-stated in HR 2977 - are not even mentioned in HR 3616. So, what happened here? Did someone have a 'friendly chat' with Rep. Kucinich? Did the Congressman inhale a bit too much aluminum during his morning job? Did he look up one day and find himself standing under a big 'X' and feel his knees get a little wobbly?
As stated in Kucinich's first version of his "Space Preservation Act of 2001" -
"The term 'exotic weapons systems' includes weapons designed to damage space or natural ecosystems (such as the ionosphere and upper atmosphere) or climate, weather, and tectonic systems with the purpose of inducing damage or destruction upon a target population or region on earth or in space."
Apparently Rep. Kucinich is no longer concerned about the effects of the testing and use of exotic weapons systems on natural ecosystems and living organisms on the planet.
Although chemtrails are no longer stated as a weapons system, or even mentioned in HR3616, the question of the components of the RFMP / VTRPE warfare system is raised.
HR 3616 states -
"To preserve the cooperative, peaceful uses of space for the benefit of all humankind by prohibiting the basing of weapons in space and the use of weapons to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit, and for other purposes."
The intent of this passage remains fuzzy. Example: Are Imaging satellites used with the RFMP / VTRPE system broadly defined as part of a weapons system ?
HR 3616 further states -
"The terms 'space-based weapon' and 'space-based system' mean a device capable of damaging or destroying an object or person by directing a source of energy against that object or person."
The word "directing" is clearly the key. Strictly speaking, the RFMP system does, by imaging, provide information to direct a source of energy against that particular object or person
HR3616 also says -
"4) civil, commercial, or defense activities (including communications, navigation, surveillance, reconnaissance, early warning, or remote sensing) that are not related to space-based weapons or systems."
They could say the RFMP is not a weapon - it does not "fire a bullet," but it is part of a weapons system. There are clearly serious issues of definition in Kucinich's new Bill. It is conceivable that the RFMP / VTRPE weapons system may fall in the area covered by HR3616.
It remains a mystery as to how the word 'chemtrails' appeared in HR 2977 to begin with. Investigation into that point is ongoing. Who actually is authoring the text of these bills? Why such an emphasis on "exotic weapons" in HR 2977 but then nothing mentioned about them in HR 3616?
My call to Rep. Kucinich's Washington office last week was brief. I was told there had been "quite a few" calls regarding HR 2977. I was then told my questions should be directed to the person on the congressman's staff who handled that bill. I was then transfered to that person and received...big surprise...their voice mail service. I left a message with my contact information. No reply has been received to date. I will place a follow-up call again this week. We suggest others do the same.
Even though the term 'chemtrails' has been removed from the revised bill, efforts to continue to educate and alert others about the chemtrail issue go on. Many thanks to those who have taken the time to contact their Congressional Representatives, keep it up.
We still know what we see. We still didn't consent. We still want it stopped.

Although chemtrails are no longer stated as a weapons system, or even mentioned in HR3616, the question of the components of the RFMP / VTRPE warfare system is raised.
HR 3616 states -
"To preserve the cooperative, peaceful uses of space for the benefit of all humankind by prohibiting the basing of weapons in space and the use of weapons to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit, and for other purposes."
The intent of this passage remains fuzzy. Example: Are Imaging satellites used with the RFMP / VTRPE system broadly defined as part of a weapons system ?
HR 3616 further states -
"The terms 'space-based weapon' and 'space-based system' mean a device capable of damaging or destroying an object or person by directing a source of energy against that object or person."
The word "directing" is clearly the key. Strictly speaking, the RFMP system does, by imaging, provide information to direct a source of energy against that particular object or person
HR3616 also says -
"4) civil, commercial, or defense activities (including communications, navigation, surveillance, reconnaissance, early warning, or remote sensing) that are not related to space-based weapons or systems."
They could say the RFMP is not a weapon - it does not "fire a bullet," but it is part of a weapons system. There are clearly serious issues of definition in Kucinich's new Bill. It is conceivable that the RFMP / VTRPE weapons system may fall in the area covered by HR3616.
It remains a mystery as to how the word 'chemtrails' appeared in HR 2977 to begin with. Investigation into that point is ongoing. Who actually is authoring the text of these bills? Why such an emphasis on "exotic weapons" in HR 2977 but then nothing mentioned about them in HR 3616?
My call to Rep. Kucinich's Washington office last week was brief. I was told there had been "quite a few" calls regarding HR 2977. I was then told my questions should be directed to the person on the congressman's staff who handled that bill. I was then transfered to that person and received...big surprise...their voice mail service. I left a message with my contact information. No reply has been received to date. I will place a follow-up call again this week. We suggest others do the same.
Even though the term 'chemtrails' has been removed from the revised bill, efforts to continue to educate and alert others about the chemtrail issue go on. Many thanks to those who have taken the time to contact their Congressional Representatives, keep it up.
We still know what we see. We still didn't consent. We still want it stopped.

To preserve the cooperative, peaceful uses of space for the benefit of all humankind by prohibiting the basing of weapons in space and the use of weapons to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the 'Space Preservation Act of 2002'.
SEC. 2. REAFFIRMATION OF POLICY ON THE PRESERVATION OF PEACE IN SPACE.
Congress reaffirms the policy expressed in section 102(a) of the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 (42 U.S.C. 2451(a)), stating that it `is the policy of the United States that activities in space should be devoted to peaceful purposes for the benefit of all mankind.'.
SEC. 3. BAN ON BASING OF WEAPONS IN SPACE AND THE USE OF WEAPONS AGAINST OBJECTS IN SPACE IN ORBIT.
The President shall-- (1) implement a ban on space-based weapons of the United States and the use of weapons of the United States to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit; and (2) immediately order the termination of research and development, testing, manufacturing, production, and deployment of all space-based weapons of the United States.
SEC. 4. INTERNATIONAL TREATY BANNING SPACE-BASED WEAPONS AND THE USE OF WEAPONS AGAINST OBJECTS IN SPACE IN ORBIT.
The President shall direct the United States representatives to the United Nations and other international organizations to immediately work toward negotiating, adopting, and implementing an international treaty banning space-based weapons and the use of weapons to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit.
SEC. 5. REPORT.
The President shall submit to Congress not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 6 months thereafter, a report on--
(1) the implementation of the ban on space-based weapons and the use of weapons to destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit required by section 3; and
(2) progress toward negotiating, adopting, and implementing the treaty described in section 4.
SEC. 6. SPACE-BASED NONWEAPONS ACTIVITIES.
Nothing in this Act may be construed as prohibiting the use of funds for--
(1) space exploration;
(2) space research and development;
(3) testing, manufacturing, or production that is not related to space-based weapons or systems; or
(4) civil, commercial, or defense activities (including communications, navigation, surveillance, reconnaissance, early warning, or remote sensing) that are not related to space-based weapons or systems.
SEC. 7. DEFINITIONS.
In this Act:
(1) The term 'space' means all space extending upward from an altitude greater than 60 kilometers above the surface of the earth and any celestial body in such space.
(2) The terms `space-based weapon' and `space-based system' mean a device capable of damaging or destroying an object or person (whether in outer space, in the atmosphere, or on earth) by--
(A) firing one or more projectiles to collide with that object or person;
(B) detonating one or more explosive devices in close proximity to that object or person;
(C) directing a source of energy against that object or person; or
(D) any other undeveloped means.

The scandals for KBR just keep coming. The former Halliburton subsidiary responsible for the sexual assault of Jamie Leigh Jones and the accidental electrocution of a U.S. soldier is now subject of a class-action lawsuit for exposing employees to "unsafe water, food, and hazardous fumes" at the largest U.S. installation in Iraq.
According to the Army Times, Joshua Eller, a former technician with the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, said that while he was stationed at Balad Air Force Base in 2006, he experienced skin lesions that spread and became worse, along with debilitating blisters on his feet, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, and severe abdominal pain.
As former KBR Water Purification Specialist Ben Carter described in this clip from Iraq for Sale and in his Congressional testimony, KBR failed to provide adequate water safety, resulting in toxic drinking and bathing water.
This war profiteer also failed to manage a medical incinerator properly, instead disposing medical waste and human remains in an open air burn pit. Eller claims that at one point, he saw a wild dog running around the base with a human arm in its mouth that KBR had dumped into the pit. And the grizzly kicker, the suit accuses KBR of using mortuary trucks that "still had traces of body fluids and putrefied remains in them when they were loaded with ice" later served to U.S. troops.
